overcome

Last night I checked out Helen Keller's "The Story of My Life" from the library. I didn't have that book in mind when I went, but as I was browsing the non-fiction shelves it jumped out at me. I know very little about Helen Keller, but from what little I do know I am fascinated. It is so difficult for me to comprehend how someone with such limitations could accomplish as much as she did. Not because I think she was mentally incapable. I know that was not the case. It just amazes me that she was able to learn to communicate so effectively without the benefit of sight or sound. It truly was a miracle. I look forward to reading her amazing story.

Oh cool, be sure to tell me how it is, I'll put it on my list for the year if it's good.
Looking to read several more books before the year is out and trying to include lots of female authors.
