quote of the day

this weekend ben and i drove down to the booming metropolis that is butler, missouri to spend some time with the lovely prichard family. our visit was great, they were wonderful hosts and they fed us yummy food. it was some much needed relaxation time for us, so we were grateful that they let us crash at their place.

anyways...on to the quote of the day...

this morning benjamin, the 2.5 year old, came into the tv room where ben and i were sleeping and jumped into bed with us. he was squirming around and hiding under the covers, and then he started climbing on ben. so i said to ben, "is he bothering you?"

ben said, in a monotone voice "world hunger and gas prices bother me; children are a joy."

it cracked me up. and the funniest thing as that i reminded him of it this evening and he doesn't even remember saying it! ha!
